ERP User and Role

You will need a user inn ERP(x) which has certain permissions to allow the OCR system to communicate with ERP.

The details for this will need to be included in your rossum extension secrets

Role

We recommend that you set up a new role and grant only the access as outlined on the permissions page.

User

We would recommend that you set up a specific user and role purely for connecting to the portal. If you are using any data control then please make sure you give the user the appropriate access.

The user should be configured as any other user, however you MUST make sure a default login client is included on the security page, otherwise the APIs may return a 401 error.

User Authentication

danger

You absolutely must ensure that any passwords being set meet the organisations security requirements.

If you have not been provided with, or the organisation does not have any specific security requirements, then you should randomly generate a password based on a up to date secure standard such as the NIST guidance in the UK

DO NOT send passwords via email, chat, or insecure channels

Basic Authentication

The user will either need to be set up with a password if you intend to use basic authentication.

You may also set the password to never expire to avoid any outages with OCR. You can of course regularly change the password, but it must be changed in the portal at the same time.

IDS Authentication

You may need to request a new M2M ID from Unit4 if you are using IDS authentication, this should be applied in the Unit4 ID box on the security tab
